The world is confronting interconnected crises, ranging from climate change and biodiversity loss to food and water
insecurity and pollution, that pose growing threats to the health of people, animals, and the environment. Yet, evidence reveals that in most cases, responses remain largely fragmented. The One Health (OH) approach seeks to bridge this fragmentation by fostering collaboration among stakeholders and applying a systems perspective.
Started in 2021, the Capacitating One Health in Eastern and Southern Africa (COHESA) project built the capacity of One Health across 12 countries in Eastern and Southern Africa.
