Mozambique

Mozambique has actively embraced One Health approaches, especially with recent national-level developments aimed at structuring an effective One Health system. The Instituto Nacional de Saude (INS), in collaboration with key ministries including Health, Agriculture, and Environment, has taken the lead in this initiative. They are in the process of developing a comprehensive One Health strategy document, and the proposed structure of this platform has been submitted to the government for consideration. Additionally, Mozambique's participation in the COHESA project is facilitated by the Eduardo Mondlane Universidade (UEM), led by Jose Fafetine with the Faculdade de Veterinaria, de Medicine, and the Centro de Biotecnologia playing pivotal roles in coordinating the national project. These concerted efforts demonstrate Mozambique's commitment to advancing the One Health agenda.
