Botswana currently lacks a structured One Health initiative, but there are promising developments on the horizon. The Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) has assumed the role of multiplier for COHESA led by Flora Pule-Meulenberg. BUAN aims to advocate for the One Health concept within the country and play a pivotal role in shaping the emerging One Health landscape in the years ahead. This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the importance of holistic health approaches that integrate human, animal, and environmental considerations to address health challenges comprehensively. BUAN's leadership in this endeavor holds the potential to catalyze significant advancements in Botswana's One Health efforts.
