Namibia

While this country has not formally established a dedicated One Health structure, it has undertaken critical initiatives to combat various health challenges. Efforts include addressing antimicrobial resistance, mitigating dog-mediated rabies, ensuring meat safety, and tackling public health issues. Furthermore, academic programs at higher education institutions have been aligned with One Health principles.

In support of the One Health in education objective, the School of Public Health (UNAM) has graduated more than 50 professionals with advanced degrees in Public Health, Field Epidemiology, and Laboratory Training. UNAM has also initiated the establishment of a One Health Center of Excellence in the Zambezi region, furthering the integration of One Health principles. The University of Namibia serves as the COHESA multiplier, fostering these advancements in the country's health landscape led by Simon Angombe.
